Monarch Way Station - Historical Nameless Schoolhouse
In Spring 2026, the Leander Garden Club designed and planted a Native Plant Society of Texas–certified Monarch Way Station on the grounds of the historic Nameless Schoolhouse — a Texas Historical Site right here in Williamson County. The garden is a safe haven for monarch butterflies, providing the native plants they depend on for food, shelter, and laying their eggs as they make their remarkable seasonal journey across our skies.

Coming 2026-2027 - Garden at Central Texas SPCA
The Leander Garden Club is bringing its love of growing things to the grounds of the Central Texas SPCA — a place that, like us, believes every living creature deserves a nurturing, beautiful space to thrive. This garden will welcome the animals in the shelter's care, the people who love them, and the pollinators that bring any outdoor space come to life. Check back often for updates — exciting things are growing here.

Leander High School Senior Scholarships
Each year, the Leander Garden Club awards two $1,000 scholarships to graduating Leander High School seniors heading into higher education with a passion for the natural world. We support students pursuing degrees in horticulture, animal husbandry, veterinary sciences, farming, or land management — because investing in the next generation of stewards is one of the most meaningful things a garden club can do. or information on how to apply, please get in touch with us.

Leander VFW Post Hall
The Leander VFW Post Hall is more than the place where we hold our monthly meetings — it's a community landmark that we've had the joy of making a little more beautiful. We planted our first garden bed at the entrance in our early years, filling it with hardy native plants with the help of donated supplies and generous support from the VFW itself. We've since added a second bed layered with flowering shrubs that carry color through the seasons, and installed drip irrigation across both gardens to keep them thriving with minimal water — because a waterwise garden is always the goal.

Plant Sales
Twice a year, in Spring and Fall, the Leander Garden Club hosts one of our most beloved community traditions — our plant sales. You'll find a wonderful selection of garden flowers, native plants, edibles, and indoor plants, along with handcrafted plant and nature-inspired creations made with love by our members. It's the perfect place to find something beautiful for your garden and your home, while supporting a club that puts every dollar back into the Leander community.
Check our Events page for upcoming dates — you won't want to miss it.

Education
Learning is at the heart of everything we do. During our monthly meetings we welcome guest speakers who bring their knowledge and passion for topics that matter to gardeners right here in Central Texas — and there is always something new to discover, no matter how long you've been digging in the dirt.
But the learning doesn't stop at the door. Our members take what they discover and bring it home — sharing tips, cuttings, and inspiration with neighbors, friends, and anyone in the community who is curious about growing something beautiful. You don't have to be a member to benefit from what we know. We are always happy to share.
